A 22-year-old man is dead after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a pick-up truck in Shoal Lake Friday night.

RCMP said the crash happened just before 9 p.m. at Station Road and 1st Avenue.

The man driving the motorcycle was headed southbound when he hit head on with a northbound pick-up truck, RCMP said.

The young man was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the pick-up truck, a 54-year-old man from Shoal Lake was not injured in the crash.

RCMP said no other people or vehicles were involved in the crash and they continue to investigate.

Shoal Lake is about 270 kilometres west of Winnipeg.

On Monday, police said an investigation determined the motorcycle crossed over the centre line into the path of the pickup truck.

No charges are expected in crash, said RCMP.
