After Friday morning's deluge, get ready for more showers and thunderstorms tonight across southern Manitoba. They have the potential to become severe. If they do, anticipate heavy, even torrential rain, strong wind gusts and hail. There is even the potential for isolated tornadoes to develop within some thunderstorms. If that happens, they are mostly likely to form in the southern Red River Valley.
Yet another round of showers and thunderstorms will start up again on Saturday morning across the south. In Winnipeg, the are expected to continue well into the night before they finally come to an end.
The entire weekend will not be a wash, though. Much drier conditions return in Sunday.
