We're off to a cool and cloudy start to this shortened work week in southern Manitoba. But it is an otherwise uneventful start which is welcomed after Friday and Saturday's storm hammered the region.
A milder Pacific airmass is heading east toward the Prairies over the next couple of days. Temperatures will climb into the low to mid-teens in the south by Thursday. Daytime highs might not climb quite that high in some areas with snow on the ground since some of that energy will be used to melt the snow. Still, it will certainly feel warmer than it has in some time. It will come with some sunshine, too.
An area of wet snow or rain showers is on the move out in front of that milder air. It will cross northern Saskatchewan tonight and into northwestern Manitoba on Wednesday. At this point, it looks like a few cenitmetres of wet snow is possible. It will miss the south.
