Two very different weather patterns split Manitoba in two on Monday.
Here in the south, most areas are sunny, windy (from the west) and warm with highs reaching the upper 20s this afternoon.
Northwest winds are strong today across the northern half of the province, too. But that's where any similarity in conditions ends. An upper low will continue to spin and bring showers and non-severe thunderstorms today and tonight. And temperatures are much cooler in the upper teens/low 20s. The low will weaken by Tuesday as it takes its time moving slowly over Hudson Bay.
Folks hoping for rain in the south will have to wait until at least Wednesday. And even that's not a good bet. Showers are possible during the day in Winnipeg. There's a better chance by the evening. Again, Thursday could bring showers or a thunderstorm during the day. The odds are better that night. Then back to dry continue conditions Friday through the weekend.
