So, how about that snow? The first widepread snowfall of the fall season left between 2 to 5 cm across most of southern Manitoba Tuesday into Wednesday morning.
More snow is heading our way on Thursday, so consider today's cloudy conditions a break between rounds one and two.
That said, the Alberta trough that will bring more snow to southern Manitoba tomorrow isn't expected to bring as much. The bulk of the snow is expected to fall on the Dakotas.
Northwest winds will build in behind this system. Areas in the lee of Lake Winnipeg will likely see more heavy snow in lake effect snow squalls on Thursday night into Friday. This includes Berens River who was already hard hit by more than 40 cm of snow in similar lake effect snow squalls last weekend.
