STARS Air Ambulance airlifted a 29-year-old man to hospital after he rolled his ATV while riding the trails along east Lake Winnipeg near Stead.
The man was riding with a group when he crashed in a wooded area around 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. The helicopter had to land on rough ground, after which other ATV riders took a medical crew to the scene of the crash.
The man suffered multiple serious injuries and was taken to the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg in unstable condition.
