Winnipeg police have arrested two suspects in connection with an alleged series of bank robberies stretching back to October.

In five incidents between October and December a male suspect wearing a disguise entered banks in the 100 block of Osborne Street and the 200 and 300 blocks of Portage Avenue. The suspect, who said he was armed, demanded cash and fled in all five incidents with an undisclosed amount of money, said police.

A woman also wearing a disguise entered one of the same banks in the 300 block of Portage Avenue on Nov. 14. The suspect said she was armed and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, said police.

No one was injured in any of the robberies.

The investigation has led to the arrests of two suspects, said police.

Steve Allen Dumas, 46, of Winnipeg faces five counts of robbery and of wearing a disguise.

Tina Marie Quesnel, 41, of Winnipeg faces a charge of robbery and wearing a disguise.
