WINNIPEG -- Schools reopened for students in Manitoba for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic on Sept. 8.

Since the school year started, several schools have announced positive cases of COVID-19 in their buildings.

The province does not list further details, including whether the person with COVID-19 is a student or a staff member, citing privacy concerns.

CTV News Winnipeg is compiling a list of schools in Manitoba by health zone where positive COVID-19 cases have been reported. This list will be updated regularly.

WINNIPEG HEALTH REGION

  • College Louis-Riel – A confirmed case of COVID-19 was at the school on September 28 when they may have been infectious. The school declared an outbreak on Oct. 29, with seven confirmed cases and 10 cohorts in isolation. The school is moving to remote learning until Nov. 6.
  • Churchill High School – The potential exposure occurred between 8:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 8. One case was reported at the school. a second potential exposure occurred on Oct. 7,8, and 9. Another exposure involving two cases occurred Oct. 19 and 23.
  • John Pritchard School – The potential exposure occurred in a cluster from Sept. 8, Sept. 9, and Sept. 10 from 8:15 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. As of Sept. 28, the total number of cases associated with the cluster is 33, and health officials believe transmission occurred in the school. Several classes in the school have shifted to remote learning.
  • Daniel McIntyre Collegiate Institute – The exposure occurred Sept. 9 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Thursday, Sept. 10 from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. One case was identified. The exposure was deemed low risk. Two more cases were identifed on Oct. 8, but both exposures are considered low risk, and health officials believe the cases were not acquired at the school. Another exposure was announced as occuring October 15, 19, 20 and 22. The school announced another exposure on Nov. 16 and 17.
  • Beaverlodge School – The exposure occurred on Sept. 10 in the morning and afternoon. One case was identified. The exposure was deemed low risk.
  • St. Aidan's Christian School – The exposure occurred on Sept. 10 and 11. One case was identified. The exposure was deemed low risk. The infection was not acquired at the school. Another potential exposure occurred Oct. 20 and 21.
  • Gordon Bell High School – The exposure occurred on Sept. 17, in the morning and afternoon. A letter sent to parents said the exposure was deemed to be low risk. Another exposure involving two cases occurred on Oct. 21 and 22, and Oct. 26 and 27. both exposures were considered low-risk. 
  • Garden City Collegiate – The exposure occurred on Sept. 14, 15, and 16, and was assessed as a low-risk. Another exposure occurred on Oct. 26 and 26.
  • Collège Louis-Riel - The exposure occurred on Sept. 14, and the risk is considered to low. The infection was not acquired at the school.
  • St. Maurice School – A confirmed case was in the school on Sept. 17 and 18. The infection was not acquired at the school, and the risk is considered low.
  • Emerson School – A confirmed case was in the school on Sept. 16 and 17. The risk is considered low. One case was identified. The infection was not acquired at the school.
  • Grant Park High School - A confirmed case was in the school Sept. 15, 16 and 17. The risk is considered low. One case was identified. The infection was not acquired at the school. Another exposure occurred on Oct. 13, and another exposure was confirmed on Oct. 26 and 27, with the exposure was considered low.
  • River East Collegiate - A confirmed case was in the school on September 18. The risk is considered low. One case was indentified and the infection was not acquired at the school.
  • St John's-Ravenscourt School - A confirmed case was on campus outside of regular school hours on September 14 and 16. The person did not have any contact with students, and the case is considered an extremely low risk. The infection was not acquired at the school. Another potential exposure occurred Sept. 30, Oct. 1, 2, and 6. There is no evidence the infection was acquired at the school.
  • St. Maurice School - A confirmed case was in the school on September 17 and 18. The case is considered a low risk, and the infection was not acquired at the school.
  • Sisler High School - A confirmed case was in the school on September 18. The case is considered a low risk, and the infection was not acquired at the school. Another exposure was identified on Oct. 8 and 9. The infection was not believed to be acquired at school.
  • École Précieux-Sang -  A confirmed case was in the school on September 18. The case is considered a low risk, and the infection was not acquired at the school.
  • John W Gunn Middle School - A confirmed case was in the school between September 16 and September 18. The case is considered a low risk, and the infection was not acquired at the school.
  • IQRA School - A confirmed case was in the school between September 23 and 24. The case is considered a low risk, and the infection was not acquired at the school.
  • Glenlawn Collegiate - A confirmed case was in the school on September 25. The case is considered a low risk, and the infection was not acquired at the school. Another case was reported in the school between Oct. 13-15, and another was in the school Oct. 27.
  • Charleswood School - The possible exposure dates were on Sept. 24 and 25, as well as Sept. 28 to 30. There is no evidence the infection was acquired at school. The impacted cohort is doing remote learning.
  • Seven Oaks Middle School -  A confirmed case was in the school on September 28, 29 and 30. The case is considered a low risk, and the infection was not acquired at the school.
  • Earl Grey School - A confirmed case was in the school Sept. 29, Sept. 30, and Oct. 7. There is no evidence the case was acquired in the school.
  • University of Winnipeg Collegiate - A potential exposure at the University of Winnipeg Collegiate occurred on September 28 and 30, and October 5 and 7. The province said there is no evidence of in-school transmission or that the infection was acquired at school. Two other cases were in the school on Oct. 13 and 15. The exposures from both cases are considered low.
  • Kildonan-East Collegiate - A person with COVID-19 was in the school on September 29 and October 1. The exposure was assessed to be a low risk, and the school believes the case was not acquired in the school.
  • O.V. Jewitt Community School - A case was in the school on September 28 and 29. The exposure was also assessed to be low, and the school believes the infection was not acquired at the school. Another exposure occurred Oct. 19-21.
  • Faraday School - A confirmed case of COVID-19 was in the school on September 29 and 30. The risk of exposure was assessed as low.
  • Bird's Hill School - A confirmed case was in the school, located in East St. Paul, on Setpember 30, Oct. 1 and Oct. 2. The case is considered a low risk, and the infection was not acquired at the school. On October 20, the school confirmed five cases at the school, and declared an outbreak.
  • Elwick Community School - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 5. The case is considered a low risk, and the WRHA said the infection was not acquired at the school. The school said on Oct. 14 a person with COVID-19 was at the school from Sept. 30 to Oct. 5, and may have been infectious at the time. It said the risk of the exposure is assessed as low, and the infection was not believed to be acquired at the school.
  • St. Joseph The Worker School - A confirmed case was in the school between Oct 1. and 2 from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both days. The infection was not acquired at school.
  • Shaughnessy Park School - A confirmed case was in the school from September 29 to October 5. The case is considered a low risk, and the infection was not acquired at the school.
  • Hugh John Macdonald School - Two cases were in the school on September 28. The cases are considered low risks, and the infections were not acquired at school.
  • Dakota Collegiate Institute - Two COVID-19 cases were in the school. One case was in on Oct. 6, and the second person was at the school on Oct. 5, 6, and 7.Both exposures are considered low risk. Another exposure occurred between Oct. 19-21, and a cohort was advised to self-isolate until Nov. 5.
  • Daniel McIntyre Collegiate - A confirmed case of COVID-19 was at the school on Sept. 29, 30, and Oct. 1. Health officials said the risk of exposure is considered low and the infection is not believed to have happened at school. Another case was in the school on Oct. 13 and 15.
  • Dufferin School - On Oct. 6, a confirmed COVID-19 case was at the school on Sept. 28 and 29. a second case in the same cohort was announced on Oct. 13. The second case was at the school on Sept. 30 and Oct. 2. Health officials said the cohort, as well as other close contacts, are being told to self-isolate. Health officials said they were unable to confirm if transmission occurred in the school, but the risk is considered low.
  • Winnipeg Adult Education Centre - A confirmed case of COVID-19 was at the school Oct. 5. Health officials said the risk of exposure is considered low and the infection is not believed to have happened at school. Other exposures occurred on Oct. 13, 19, 20 and 21. The province said a confirmed case was in the school Oct. 13-23.
  • Acadia Junior High -The potential exposure occurred on Oct. 5 and 6, and close contacts to the case have been advised to self-isolate. The risk of exposure is currently assessed as low, and the infection was not acquired at school. Another exposure occurred from Oct. 19-21.
  • Margaret Park School - The potential exposure occurred on October 5 and 7. Health officials said the risk of exposure from the case is assessed as low, and the infection is not believed to have been acquired at the school.
  • Ecole Templeton - The potential exposure occurred on Oct. 6 to 8.  Health officials said the risk of exposure from the case is assessed as low, and the infection is not believed to have been acquired at the school.
  • Amber Trails School - The potential exposure occurred on Oct. 5 and 6.  Health officials said the risk of exposure from the case is assessed as low, and the infection is not believed to have been acquired at the school. Another exposure occurred Oct. 26 and 27. The exposure was considered low risk.
  • River Elm School - The potential exposure occurred on Oct. 8, 9, 13, and 14. The infection is not believed to have been acquired at the school, and close contacts were asked to self-isolate.
  • Hampstead School - The potential exposures occurred October 2. The exposure is considered low risk, and the infection was not believed to have been acquired at the school.
  • Gladstone School - A potential exposure occurred on Oct. 5 and 6. Another exposure occurred between Oct. 21 and 23, and involved two confirmed cases.
  • Darwin School - A potential exposure occurred on Oct. 7.
  • Ecole Taché -The potential exposures occurred Sept. 28, 29, 30 and October 2, 8 and 9. The exposures are considered low risk.
  • Al Hijra School - A potential exposure occurred on Oct. 5.
  • Victory School - A potential exposure occurred on Oct. 6 and 7.
  • Ecole Leila North School - A potential exposure occurred on Oct. 6 and 7.
  • St Norbert Collegiate - A potential exposure occurred on Oct. 6.
  • Windsor Park Collegiate - The potential exposure occurred from Oct.8 and 9. Health officials said the risk of exposure from the case is assessed as low. Another case was in the school Oct. 19 and 20.
  • Wolesley School - The potential exposure occurred from Oct.5-7. Health officials said the risk of exposure from the case is assessed as low.
  • Oak Park High School - The potential exposure occurred on Oct. 6. Health officials said the risk of exposure from the case is assessed as low, and the infection is not believed to have been acquired at the school.
  • Robert Andrews School - The potential exposure occurred on Oct. 6 and 7. Health officials said the risk of exposure from the case is assessed as low, and the infection is not believed to have been acquired at the school.
  • Victor H.L. Wyatt School - The potential exposure occurred on Oct. 13 and 14. Health officials said the risk of exposure from the case is assessed as low, and the infection is not believed to have been acquired at the school.
  • John Taylor Collegiate - The potential exposure occurred on Oct. 13 and 14. Health officials said the risk of exposure from the case is assessed as low. Contacts have been identified and asked to self-isolate.
  • Christ the King School - Two confirmed cases were in the school on Cct. 14. Health officials said the risk of exposure from the cases are assessed as low, and the infection is not believed to have been acquired at the school.
  • South Pointe School -The potential exposure occurred on Oct. 9. Health officials said the risk of exposure from the case is assessed as low, and the infection is not believed to have been acquired at the school.
  • Technical Vocational High School - The potential exposure occurred from Oct.7 to 9. Health officials said the risk of exposure from the case is assessed as low. Another exposure was reported on October 16, which was assessed as low risk. Another exposure involving three cases occurred Oct. 21 and 22, though the risk of exposure is considered low.
  • St. Mary's Academy - A potential exposure occurred on Oct. 14. Another potential exposure was announced from Oct. 20-23.
  • West Kildonan Collegiate - A potential exposure occurred on Oct. 14. Health officials said the risk of exposure from the case is assessed as low.
  • Mennonite Brethren Collegiate Institute - A confirmed case was in the school Oct. 13. Health officials said the risk of exposure from the case is assessed as low.
  • Maples Jefferson Collegiate - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 14. Health officials said the risk of exposure from the case is assessed as low. Two other cases were in the school Oct. 19 and 20.
  • École Margaret - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 8. Health officials said the risk of exposure from the case is assessed as low. another exposure occurred from Oct. 13-16.
  • Cecil Rhodes School - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 13. close contacts have been advised to self-isolate.
  • École Constable Edward Finney School - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 19 and 20. The risk is of exposure is considered low. 
  • École Tuxedo Park School - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 14 and 15. A cohort was moved to self-isolation, which is expected to last until Oct. 29.
  • Governor Semple School - A confirmed case was in the school Oct. 14. The exposure was assessed as low, and the infection is not believed to have been acquired at school.
  • Island Lakes Community School - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 14 and 16. The risk is assessed as low.
  • Maples Met School - A confirmed case was in the school Oct. 14. The exposure was assessed as low.
  • Our Lady of Victory School - A confirmed case was in the school Oct. 14 and 15. The exposure was assessed as low. Another confirmed case was in the school Oct. 20 and 22.
  • Centre Scolaire Léo-Rémillard - Three confirmed cases were in the school on Oct. 16. Close contacts were advised to self-isolate, and the school remains open. Another two cases were announced Oct. 26 and 27. on Nobember 2, the school moved its cohorts to remote learning.
  • St. John's High School - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 15 and 16. The exposure is considered low. Another three cases were in the school Oct. 20, 22, and 23.
  • Sargent Park School - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 19. The exposure is considered low risk.
  • Principal Sparling School - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 13 and 14. Close contacts were advised to self-isolate.
  • École Varennes - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 19, 21, and 22. A cohort was asked to self-isolate.
  • Tyndall Park School - A confirmed case was in the school Oct. 13-15. The exposure was considered a low risk.
  • Transcona Collegiate - A confirmed case was in the school Oct. 19 and 20. The exposure was considered a low risk. Another potential exposure occured Oct. 21. Close contacts were advised to monitor for symptoms. Another exposure occurred Oct. 22 and 26, involving three confirmed cases.
  • École Howden - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 19 and 20.
  • The Manitoba School for the Deaf - A confirmed case was in the school from Oct. 19-21. The exposure is considered a low risk.
  • St. Emile Catholic School - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 22 and 23.
  • Linwood School - A confirmed case was in the school Oct. 14 and 15. A cohort began isolation on Oct. 27.
  • École Garden Grove - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 20-21. A cohort began isolation on Oct. 27. Another exposure occurred Oct. 19-21, with close contacts being advised to self-isolate.
  • Elmwood High School - A confirmed case was in a school on Oct. 16. Nobody was required to isolate due to the exposure. Another confirmed case was in the school Oct. 28 and 29.
  • Miles Macdonell Collegiate - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 19 and 20. The exposure was listed as a low risk.
  • General Wolfe School - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 20 and 21. The exposure was listed as a low risk. 
  • Tyndall Park School - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 21 and 22. The exposure was listed as a low risk.
  • Yellowquill College - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 21 and 22. The exposure was listed as a low risk.
  • Robert Andrews Middle School - A confirmed case was in the school on the bus on Oct. 19 and 20. The exposure was assessed as a low risk.
  • Pinkham School - A confirmed case was in the school from Oct. 21-23. The exposure risk was assessed as low
  • Samuel Burland School - Two confirmed cases were in the school Oct. 21 and 22.
  • Robert Andrews Middle School - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 19 and 20. The exposure was assessed as a low risk,
  • Bernie Wolfe School -  A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 19 and 20. The exposure was assessed as a low risk.
  • École Sacré-Coeur School- Two confirmed cases were in the school on Oct. 19 and 20. The exposure was assessed as a low risk.
  • École George-McDowell - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 22/ The exposure was assessed as a low risk.
  • Red River Valley Junior Academy - A confirmed case was in the school Oct. 21 and 22.
  • Grant Park School - A confirmed case was in the school Oct. 23, and again from Oct. 26-29. The exposure was considered a low risk. 
  • École Laura Secord School - A confirmed case was in the school Oct. 21 and 22.
  • St. John's-Ravenscourt - A confirmed case was in the school October 21, 22, and October 26 to 29. A cohort is isolating until November 12.
  • Minnetonka School - A confirmed case was in the school Oct. 27 and 30. Another case was in the school on Oct. 29 and 30.
  • Collège Jeanne-Sauvé - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 21 and 22. The exposure was considered a low risk.
  • Dalhousie School - A confirmed case was in the school from Oct. 20-22. The exposure was assessed as a low-risk. 
  • Linden Christian School - A confirmed COVID-19 case was in the school Oct. 27 and 29.
  • École Roméo-Dallaire - Two confirmed cases were in the school. One on October 14-16, 19, 20, 22 and 23. The other was in the school on October 19, 20 and 22. The exposure was considered a low-risk.
  • Shaftesbury High School - Two confirmed cases were in the school on Oct. 23 and 27. The exposures were assessed as low-risk.
  • Shamrock School - A confirmed case was in the school from Oct.26 to 27. The exposure was considered a low risk.
  • École Guyot - A confirmed case was in the school on October 20, 21, 22 and 26. The exposure was considered a low risk.
  • Oakenwald School - A confirmed case was in the school from Oct.26 to 27. The exposure was considered a low risk.
  • Sister MacNamara School - A confirmed case was in the school from Oct.26 to 27. The exposure was considered a low risk.
  • École Munroe Middle School -  A confirmed case was in the school from Oct.26 to 27. The exposure was considered a low risk. Another case was in the school Nov. 13, and the risk was considered low.
  • École Dieppe - A confirmed case was in the school from Oct.26, 27 and 28. The exposure was considered a low risk.
  • Henry G. Izatt Middle School - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 19. Another exposure occurred on Oct. 26, and was assessed as low-risk.
  • Fort Richmond Collegiate - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 26 and 27. The exposure was considered a low risk.
  • École Christine-Lespérance - A confirmed case was in the school from Oct. 20-22. The exposure was considered a low risk. 
  • Windsor School - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 28 and 30. The exposure was considered a low risk, and no close contacts were identified at the school.
  • Luxton School - A confirmed case was in the school on October 22, 23, and Oct. 26-29. The exposure was assessed as a low-risk, and close contacts are being advised to self-isolate.
  • Kelvin high School - A confirmed case was in the school on November 2. The risk was assessed as low, and no close contacts were identified.
  • Bertrun E. Glavin School - A confirmed case was in the school November 3 and 4. The risk was assessed as low.
  • École Centrale - A confirmed case was in the school on November 3 and 4.
  • Collège Béliveau - A confirmed COVID-19 case was in the school on Nov. 13, 16 and 18. Close contacts are self-isolating, and the risk is being assessed as low.
  • R.F. Morrison School - A confirmed case was in the school on Nov. 16. The risk is assessed as low.
  • École Guyot -  A confirmed case was in the school Nov. 13. The risk is assessed as low.
  • Niji Makhwa School - A confirmed case was in the school Nov. 6. The risk is assessed as low.
  • Greenway School - A confirmed case was in the school from Nov. 12 to 13. The exposure is condered low-risk.

 

PRAIRIE MOUNTAIN HEALTH REGION

  • Meadows School – The school, located in Brandon, reported a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the school on Sept. 15 and 16. The case was not acquired at school, and the risk is considered low.
  • Carberry Collegiate - The school in Carberry reported a confirmed case of someone in the school on September 21. The infection was not acquired in the school. One grade in the school has moved to remote learning for 14 days. A second case was reported in the school on September 21, the province announced October 1.
  • R.J. Waugh Elementary School - The school in Carberry reported a positive COVID-19 case was on a school bus on September 21. Areas used by the infected person were closed off.
  • Ecole New Era School – A person with COVID-19 at the elementary school, located at 527 Louise Avenue, attended a grade 5/6 multi-age classroom with the virus on Friday, Sept. 11 from 8:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
  • Gilbert Plains Elementary School - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 8 and 9. The infection is considered a low risk, and was not believed to have been acquired at the school.
  • École Secondaire Neelin High School - A confirmed case was in the Brandon high school on Oct. 2. The case was not acquired at school.
  • Alexander School - A confirmed case of COVID-19 was in the school on Oct. 22, 26 and 27. The infection was not believed to be acquired at school.
  • Vincent Massey High School - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 22. The exposure was considered a low risk.
  • École La Source - The school in Shilo reported a case was in the school Oct. 26. The exposure was considered a low risk.
  • Hazel M Kellington School - The school in Neepawa had a confirmed case in the school October 15 to 16, and October 19 to 22, and October 26 and 27, 2020. Close contacts have been contacted for self-isolation.

SOUTHERN HEALTH REGION

  • Gladstone Elementary School – The school, located in Gladstone, Man., reported a confirmed COVID-19 case that attended the school on Sept. 8, 9, 10, and 14. The person was not symptomatic while at school.
  • Kleefeld School - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 1 and 2. The cohort impacted is self-isolating and has moved to remote learning. The infection was not believed to be acquired at the school.
  • North Memorial School - The school in Portage la Prairie reported a confirmed case was in the school from September 28, 29, 30 and October 1, 2 and 5.
  • Ecole Heritage Immersion - The school in Saint Pierre-Jolys had a case in the school on September 29 and 30.
  • Mitchell Middle School - A case was at the school from October 7 to 9. The province said the infection was not believed to have been acquired at school, but close contacts are being advised to self-isolate for symptoms and get tested if symptoms develop. Confirmed cases were also in the school on Oct. 22.
  • Yellowquill School - The school in Portage la Prairie  reported a case in the school September 30 and October 1, 2 and 5. Another exposure was reported on Oct. 9.
  • Niverville Middle School - The school reported a case in the school on Oct. 6.
  • Clearsprings Middle School - The school in Steinbach reported a case on Oct. 7 and 8.
  • Arborgate School - The school in La Broquerie reported a case on Oct. 8. The school declared an outbreak on Oct. 22, with three cases reported.
  • St. Claude School Complex - A confirmed case was in the school from Oct. 13-16. the risk is considered low.
  • Parkside Junior High School - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 16.
  • College Lorette Collegiate -  A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 16. Confirmed cases were also in the school  Oct. 19th, 20th and 23rd. close contacts were advised to self-isolate.
  • Gabrielle Roy School - A confirmed case was in the school in Ile des Chênes Oct. 19 and 20. The risk was assessed as low for exposure.
  • École régionale Notre-Dame - The school in Notre Dame de Lourdes announced three cases were in the school from Oct 19-22, with affected cohorts beginning isolation on Oct. 26. Another case was identified as being in the school at the same time, but was considered low risk.
  • Gilbert Rosset School - Two confirmed cases of COVID-19 attended the school, one from Oct. 5 to 16 and one from Oct. 19 to 20, when the individuals may have been infectious. It is not believed that the infections were acquired in the school.
  • Ste Annes Collegiate - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 19 and 20.
  • Woodlawn School. - A confirmed case was in the school Oct. 22. The exposure is assessed as a low risk.
  • Steinbach Regional Secondary School - Two confirmed cases were in the school Oc. 20 - 22 and Oct 26 - 28. The exposure is considered low-risk.

INTERLAKE-EASTERN HEALTH REGION

  • Stonewall Collegiate – A person with COVID-19 was at the school on September 28 and 29, and may have been infectious at the time. The province says the exposure has a moderate risk.
  • Warren Elementary School - A confirmed case was in the school on Oct. 26. The exposure was listed as a low-risk.

NORTHERN HEALTH REGION

  • Opasquia Elementary School - The school in The Pas reported a case on Oct. 16. The exposure is considered a low risk. Another exposure occurred Oct 19 and 20, which was assessed as low risk.
  • Scott Bateman Middle School - The school located in The Pas reported a case in the school on Oct. 16. The exposure is assessed as a low risk.
  • R.D. Parker Collegiate - The school in Thompson said a case was in the school on Oct. 15 and 16. The exposure was assessed as a low risk.
