Donovan Maess

Since starting as an intern at CTV Regina in the summer of 2020, Donovan Maess has worked as a multi-media journalist, anchor and associate producer for the CTV News at Noon, 5 and 6.
Following his internship, Donovan joined the CTV News team full time in April 2021.
After growing up in Lloydminster, Alta./Sask., Donovan moved to Regina where he attended the University of Regina, graduating with a degree in Journalism in 2021.
Since the spring of 2022, Donovan has led the coverage of municipal politics in Regina, including council and civic election in fall 2024.

Donovan earned a 2024 RTDNA Prairie Region award for Excellence in Sport Reporting for his story, ‘Diversifying Disc Golf’ which looked into Indigenous representation in the growing, fringe sport.
