The City of Winnipeg said Friday morning that a declared snow route parking ban that took effect late Thursday night has now been lifted.

The ban took effect on Priority 1 and Priority 2 streets, which included bus routes, main routes and collector streets, said city officials.

Anyone suspecting their vehicle may have been towed can contact 311 to locate it.

While the temporary, declared snow route ban has been lifted, the city said that the annual snow route parking ban remains in effect between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. until March 1, 2013.

Offificials said more information on parking bans is available on the city's website.
