A transitional housing complex run by Siloam Mission was the scene of a stabbing Thursday evening.

Police were called to the Madison Lodge on Evanson Street around 9 p.m. after a man was stabbed, Siloam Mission said in a statement.

They said support staff at the lodge helped the victim until emergency crews arrived on scene.

The man was taken to hospital in stable condition, and two people have been taken into custody, according to police.

Siloam officials said the victim and the suspects were not residents of Madison Lodge.

The transition services department plans to meet with residents of the lodge Friday to offer trauma counseling and additional support to those who need it.
