U of W bumps up security after washroom threat
Heightened security measures are in place at the University of Winnipeg on Wednesday, because of a possible threat to the campus.
The university received a message written on a washroom wall last week about a potential threat to the campus.
The threat, said it would be carried out on Wednesday, Apr. 1, 2009.
Officials at the U of W say the threat has been deemed as a low risk, but extra security measures are in place for the day as a precaution.
The campus remains open and classes are continuing as usual.
Winnipeg police are investigating the source of the threat.
