Police seized dozens of explosive sticks, two assault rifles, and two machine guns Thursday night.
They were executing a search warrant in the 700 block of Atlantic Avenue. Members of the bomb squad and tactical support unit took part in the seizure.
Police say the amount of explosives they seized could have blown up several houses in the area.
Nearby residents were evacuated during the raid.
Police arrested 24-year-old Michael Alan Lavallee and 25-year-old Jamie Michelle Sinclair (female) and charged them with numerous firearms and explosives related offences.
They are both being held at the Provincial Remand Centre.
Street gangs are believed to be involved.
