Manitoba’s Wildlife Haven Rehabilitation Centre is caring for a baby bobcat brought in on Dec. 11 from Middlebro, in southeastern Manitoba.

The centre said a person found the bobcat, estimated to be about 15 to 16 weeks old, stuck in a woodpile in a yard.

“This is an age where they have weaned and would start going out and following mom around but not old enough to be on her own,” said the centre. “She was very thin, weak and young.”

The centre said she is being kept indoors until she is older.

“We are hoping if all goes well, she will be released back into the wild this coming spring/summer,” said the centre.
