Winnipeg crews fight flames in two structure fires

As Winnipeg entered a new year, emergency crews were called to the scene of two fires late Tuesday evening and early Wednesday morning.

The first blaze broke out at a commercial building in the 900 block of Keewatin Street. Firefighters arrived around 10:24 p.m. and launched an attack from outside. The fire was declared under control by 10:40 p.m.

Crews were called to a second fire at 5:49 a.m. at a community resource building in the 200 block of the Disraeli Freeway. It was declared under control at 6:06 a.m.

No one was injured in either fire and both are under investigation.
