The Winnipeg Jets are honouring the Canadian military at Sunday’s game against the Edmonton Oilers.

Players will sport limited edition military themed jerseys during pre-game warmup, which will later be auctioned online. Proceeds will go to Canadian Armed Forces charities, True North Sports and Entertainment said in a media release.

Armed forces members will also give the opening puck drop and perform the national anthem.

Canadian forces members are also asked to wear their uniforms to the game and are invited to take a post-game photo on the ice at the MTS Centre.

True North is also donating a block of tickets to military members and their families. Over 500 are expected to be in attendance.
