A Winnipeg man has been arrested in connection to multiple break and enters between August and October.
Winnipeg police said the first break-in happened on August 19 in the 1100 block of Portage Avenue, when a locked storage unit was broken into and various tools worth more than $5000 were stolen.
Police said two days later, a man sold two of the stolen items to a local pawn shop.
The second break-in happened on October 6 when police said a locked construction site in the 100 block of St. Anne’s Road was entered and a number of tools were taken from a utility trailer.
The next day, police said the same man sold some of the tools to a local pawn shop.
On November 9, police said a warrant was issued for the arrest of the suspect.
On Monday, officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Dufferin Avenue and King Street when they noticed the suspect driving a vehicle. The suspect was arrested and taken into custody.
Investigators said they have charged Wesley Dean Munro, 37, with break, enter and theft and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.
