Winnipeg police are investigating after an early morning shooting left 22-year-old Justin Latinecz dead and another man in hospital on Sunday.
Police were called to the area of Essex Avenue and St. Mary’s Road around 4:00 a.m. They found two people suffering from injuries.
Paramedics took Latinecz to hospital in unstable condition. He later died of his injuries. A 27-year-old man went to hospital in stable condition.
Police are still investigating what led to the shooting.

The shooting came nearly one year to the day Latinecz witnessed his friend Jeffrey Lau get gunned down at Salisbury House on Pembina Highway at Stafford Street.
