A group of 14 Winnipeg women are duking it out so those is developing countries have access to cleaner conditions.

The women behind The Clean Fight started boxing three months ago, without any prior experience. They banded together to raise money for a latrine project in Vietnam.

So far, The Clean Fight has reported raising almost $73,000. The Clean Fight team will jump in the ring Thursday night to try and make their goal of $80,000.

According to iDE Canada it is estimated there are 2.5 billion people in the world who have no clean and safe place to go to the bathroom. That's about 1/3 of the world's population.

The Clean Fight starts at 6:15 p.m. Thursday night at the Radisson hotel.
