Woman's body found in northern Manitoba deemed 'suspicious death': RCMP
RCMP are treating the discovery of a woman’s body in God’s Lake Narrows as a suspicious death.
Friends and family have identified the woman as Krystal Andrews.
Support and condolences for Andrews’ family have been pouring in on Facebook and Twitter.
RCMP from the remote northeastern Manitoba community said officers initiated an investigation around 1:00 p.m. on Nov. 9 after the woman’s body was found in an isolated area.
God’s Lake Narrows RCMP, along with several specialized police units, are involved in the case.
"In order to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation, no further details are being released at this point," said Sgt. Bert Paquet of the Manitoba RCMP in a news release Tuesday.
Pacquet said officers do not believe there is a risk to public safety.
