A young boy has died after an accident on Red Sucker Lake First Nation, Tuesday.
Island Lake RCMP said officers and emergency services rushed to a home in the community and found a four-year-old boy badly injured.
RCMP said it appeared the young boy had been playing in the home when he came into contact with a flammable substance, which ignited. The child suffered serious burns.
He was rushed to hospital in Winnipeg but later died of his injuries.
RCMP will not be releasing his name but said an autopsy has been completed and foul play is not suspected.
