RCMP are investigating the cause of a crash that killed a 22-year-old man Friday night.

Emergency services rushed to Highway 6 near Warren to find two cars had collided.

Four people, including two children, were rushed to hospital. The driver of one of the vehicles, a 22-year-old man from Little Saskatchewan First Nation, later died in hospital.

RCMP believe A man, woman and two children were driving northbound on Highway 6 in a Chevy Cobalt. The car attempted to make a u-turn but was hit on the driver-side by a northbound Chevy Malibu.

The 23-year-old driver of the Malibu was not injured in the crash.

RCMP closed the highway for eight hours to investigate. It has since been reopened, and officers continue to investigate.
