A Winnipeg Transit bus burst into flames Saturday afternoon while there were passengers on board.
It happened around 3:15 p.m.
The bus was eastbound on Portage Avenue near Erin Street when passengers say they heard a loud bang and smelled smoke.
The bus stopped and flames were visible from the back and top.
A woman who had been a passenger on the bus was seen being treated by paramedics at the scene.
All eastbound lanes of Portage Avenue were closed as the Winnipeg Fire Department worked to put out the blaze.
