Tickets for the 40th annual Winnipeg Folk Festival are on now sale, inviting fans for a fabulous five days of music, camping and community.
The event promises a huge roster of performers, including several who performed at the first Folk Festival. Serena Ryder, Colin Meloy, The Cat Empire, Dr. John and the Nite Trippers, and many others are included in the line-up.
The festival site at Birds Hill Park has been completely redeveloped this year. The new development includes a shaded eating area, first aid services, stores and artisanal crafts, and a new tavern location. Other improvements in traffic flow and drainage have also been made at the site.
