RCMP have charged a 51-year-old Roblin man with break and enter and sexual assault after a home invasion Thursday.
A woman was asleep in her Roblin home around 5 p.m. Thursday when a man came into her house, which was unlocked at the time, RCMP said. The man began sexually assaulting the woman after finding her sleeping. When she woke she chased the man out of her house and called the police, RCMP said.
51-year-old Stanley Widenmaier has been charged with break and enter and sexual assault.
Widenmaier has been released on a condition to appear in court on April 19.
Roblin RCMP said the investigation is ongoing.
