Woman sexually assaulted near Portage and Sherbrook

Police are looking for the public's help in the case of a recent sexual assault.

Officers met with a 23-year-old woman who had been sexually assaulted in the area of Portage Avenue and Sherbrook Street. It happened Saturday around 2:30 a.m.

Two men forced the woman into a back-lane and committed a sexual assault.              

Police say the victim did not know her attackers.

She eventually broke away and ran to a nearby residence.

One suspect is described as aboriginal, 25 years old, five feet, eight inches tall, 200 pounds (91 kg) with a chubby build, wearing a dark jacket and jeans.

The second suspect is described as aboriginal, 25 years old, tall with a thin build, wearing dark clothing and a toque.
