Winnipeg is in for a day of snow, high winds and cool temperatures Saturday.
Environment Canada forecast snow for much of Saturday morning, with two centimeters to fall in the city before the afternoon. The thick flakes were predicted to be accompanied by high winds, with southern gusts forecast at 40 kilometres per hour gusting to 60.
Later in the afternoon, the snow and winds were expected to die down, but temperatures would dip from a high of -5 C to an overnight low of -11 C.
Things were expected to clear up later in the weekend, though. A mix of sun and cloud and a high of -11 C was forecast for Sunday.
