Officers were called to the scene of yet another collision on a Manitoba highway on Sunday afternoon.
A 78-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the six other women were taken to Winnipeg hospital with serious injuries, according to RCMP.
Initial reports stated that it was a two-vehicle collision that occurred.
Around 3:30 p.m., Morris and Emerson RCMP responded to a single-vehicle collision on Highway 59, just north of Provincial Road 201.
RCMP said the SUV swerved and rolled several times, ejecting four passengers.
The women were aged 81, 78, 73, 60, 61, 75 and 61.
STARS attended the scene. RCMP, firefighters and EMS were all on scene when STARS arrived.
RCMP believe speed was a factor in the collision.
The investigation is ongoing.
STAR-7 (Winnipeg) has been dispatched for a scene call emergency in the Stuartburn, MB area.
