Nancy Carlson

Nancy Carlson joined CTV Winnipeg as Weekend Anchor in September, 2010. She was born and raised in Edmonton, AB.

Nancy graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature.  She later graduated with distinction from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Journalism. While volunteering at a local tv station she quickly realized this is the ideal profession for her.  With a love of learning and conversation, working as a journalist lets her share stories and teach our viewers something new everyday.

Nancy began her career at CHCA News in Red Deer, AB, as a videojournalist, anchor, and host of a half-hour lifestyle show.  She was recognized by the Muskwachees First Nation for a three part series on how the community made changes to stop gang violence after a two-year old girl was shot. She moved to Global Regina in the summer of 2009. From the politics to the Green and White (yes, she's a Riders fan) she quickly learned Saskatchewan is full of passionate people who go above and beyond to make you feel at home.

When she's not at work, you'll find Nancy training for her next half-marathon, doing yoga, or at the movie theatre.
