Officers have released the name of a suspect arrested in August after an investigation aided by the Winnipeg Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit.

The suspect is from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Winnipeg police worked with officers from Albuquerque prior to the arrest, Winnipeg police said.

On August 20, Adam Goodsell, 28, was arrested and charged with 60 counts of possession of child abuse imagery and 10 counts of distribution of child abuse imagery involving the sexual exploitation of children.

The investigation began with a cybertip received by the Winnipeg police, officers said.
