Several businesses and other facilites in Winnipeg are closed this morning after health and city officials issued a city-wide boil-water advisory Tuesday evening.
Polo Park Mall: All food and beverage outlets closed.
St. Vital Centre: Tim Hortons and Cultures closed. A memo has been sent to businesses saying if they can’t follow city guidelines, they cannot open.
Garden City Shopping Centre: Is posting city supplied advisories. It's up to each establishment whether they want to close.
Kildonan Place: Businesses opening on a case by case basis. If food/beverage outlets can show they’re taking appropriate precautions with water, they will stay open.
University of Manitoba: Is posting the city's advisory publically. No student services closed.
Red River College: Food services limited. Students advised to bring their own hot beverages and bottled water.
Some Starbucks locations were closed earlier, but around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday the company said it was open and serving brewed coffee and packaged food and drinks.
City-run services will decide individually whether or not to open. As of Wednesday morning, the city wasn't aware of any that had decided to close.
