City council guaranteed at least four new members this election

There will be some fresh faces around the city council table this fall.

At least four new councillors will be elected in wards where incumbents are departing.

Justin Swandel has decided not to seek re election in St.Norbert in order to pursue a career in real estate.

The three other outgoing councillors are seeking higher office.

Charlsewood's Paula Havixbeck is running for mayor. In St. James, Scott Fielding is vying for a Conservative seat in the Manitoba Legislature. Dan Vandal is running for the federal Liberals in St. Boniface, the city ward he currently represents.
