Clara Hughes made one last stop on the Manitoba portion of Clara’s Big Ride Monday with a visit to her old high school.
The Olympian shared her story of struggling with mental health issues with students at Elmwood High School.
That story has now travelled almost 9,000 km, on two wheels, as part of Clara’s Big Ride.
"It means the world to me and the wind we can feel is a westerly wind - we are heading east - and so I can say I'm leaving home with the wind at my back and it feels great!” said Hughes.
The journey now takes Hughes east into Ontario.
