Emergency crews rescued a man from the Assiniboine River in Winnipeg Monday evening.
Just after 5:30 p.m., they received calls about a man floating in the river.
Several police and Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service units responded and searched the area near the Osborne Bridge.
One of the Fire Paramedic Service’s rescue boats pulled the man from the water and took him to shore behind the Legislative Building, then to hospital.
At last report, he’s in stable condition.
