A 13-year-old girl has been arrested in connection with an arson investigation in Flin Flon, Manitoba.
On August 17, 2013, Flin Flon RCMP were called to a local business in Flin Flon where two vehicles were engulfed in flames.
According to RCMP, the fires were extinguished and no one was injured, but police confirmed the fires were the result of arson.
Less than three hours following that incident, a Flin Flon resident called RCMP to report two suspects attempting to steal a pickup truck from a yard. The vehicle owner told police she was assault by two female suspects when she tried to stop the robbery.
RCMP reported in a press release yesterday that one 16-year-old female youth from Flin Flon was arrested and charged.
Today RCMP confirm a 13-year-old female from Denare Beach, Saskatchewan is also in custody after being apprehended yesterday afternoon.
Both teens face several charges including theft and mischief.
