Viewers spotted a funnel cloud over south Winnipeg on Monday afternoon.
Sightings started coming in shortly before 6 p.m.
Viewers along the south Perimeter, St. Mary’s and Burland area and Bridgwater Forest area in southwest Winnipeg said they spotted the funnel cloud.
Environment Canada confirmed there was a funnel cloud south of Winnipeg, but said it was not a big concern and weather officials were only expecting rain from the storm as it moved southeast.
At the time of the funnel cloud, no weather warnings or watches were in place for the area.
