Little Grand Rapids RCMP rescued two people from a burning house on Sunday.
Police were called to the scene around 7:30 p.m. When they arrived, the three officers saw smoke coming out of the windows and a female coughing on the front steps, RCMP said.
The officers got her to safety then entered the house, where thick smoke made it difficult to see.
They found an unconscious male inside and got him out of the house. A medical van driver then helped one of the officers getting a “barely conscious” female out of the building.
All three victims were taken to a nursing station in stable condition. The officers were examined and treated for smoke inhalation.
Police don’t believe the cause of the fire is suspicious.
