A local radio host has been suspended after music videos were posted online.
Wheeler in the Morning’s ‘Transcona Girls’ was posted on 92 CITI FM’s YouTube account. Another video, titled ‘North End Boy’ was also posted on the station’s account.
Some online commenters called the videos “racist” and “sexist.”
Both videos have since been taken down by 92 CITI FM.
Dave Wheeler was not on his show Tuesday. A statement was read out saying he has been suspended.
Wheeler sent out a series of Tweets, apologizing for the videos, with one saying, “3: We never meant to offend the great people of Winnipeg, and for that I am truly sorry.”
