A 24-year-old man rescued from the Red River early Thursday has died.
Around 3:30 a.m., emergency crews were called to an ice rescue at the St. Vital Bridge near Osborne Street and Dunkirk Drive, where they found an unresponsive man.
He was taken to hospital in critical condition. He died from his injuries.
Winnipeg police said the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
The man's name will not be released.
