Morden mosasaur earns rare spot in book of records
The Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre in Morden, Manitoba, has secured a rare and coveted spot in the 60th anniversary edition of the Guinness World Records print book.
The 2016 print book features Bruce, the world's longest publicly exhibited mosasaur, which is 13 metres long and is on display at the Morden centre.
While more than 65-thousand records are submitted each year, only about four-thousand get into the print edition of the book.
The centre's executive director Peter Cantelon says millions of people all over the world will now be able to read about Bruce and also learn about Morden, the centre and the province of Manitoba.
