Winnipeg police are investigating after a robbery took an ugly turn Saturday morning.
Around 6:30 a.m. a man working at a hotel in the 500 block of Dale Boulevard was confronted by a man with bear spray, police said. The man demanded cash and pointed the canister at the 32-year-old clerk.
The man then sprayed the clerk with the bear spray and fled, without any cash.
Winnipeg police arrived soon after and brought the canine unit to track down the suspect.
