Winnipeg’s outdoor pop-up restaurant made its debut Thursday evening, serving patrons in a tent on the frozen river at The Forks.

Called Raw: Almond, it's a joint effort between the owners of Exchange District restaurant Deer + Almond and RAW Gallery, and will be around for three weeks.

Some diners tell CTV they feasted on cured albacore tuna and scallops as part of the gourmet menu.

The dining room is heated, as are the outdoor washrooms, but guests are still advised to dress warmly.
