Well, we've made it to the last full day of summer on Monday. The season ends with rain showers in central and northern parts of the province. And scattered showers in the south. Here in Winnipeg, some sunshine will break through late in the afternoon before a relatively clear night.
The disturbance moving across Manitoba today should leave anywhere from 5-10 mm of rainfall in central/northern areas. Some places will get less.
Meanwhile, here in the south, it's warm, but also very windy. The cold front associated with the low bringing rain further north is kicking up southwest winds in the south with sustained speeds up to 40 km/h and gusts as strong as 60.
Fall officially arrives on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. CDT. But with sunshine are daytime highs expected to reach the upper 20s, it will sure feel like summer hasn't gone anywhere.
From there, though, Winnipeg will vacillate between sunshine and soggy conditions for the rest of the week. Dayitme highs will return to the mid-teens to low 20s.
