Warm and windy conditions continue for yet another day today in Winnipeg and across southern Manitoba.
There is the potential for thunderstorms to develop across the south late this afternoon and early this evening. The stronger chance for severe storms is in the southwest. The main threats look to be strong winds, heavy downpours and hail.
Meanwhile, a low over Alberta is causing all sorts of mixed precipitation across most of northern Manitoba today. Colder surface air that's overunning warmer air is turning rain to freezing rain. Even snow is in the mix in the northeast. Be prepared for slippery conditons. And strong winds which could make matters worse.
The weekend starts off in Winnipeg on Saturday much like today: a mix of sun and clouds, the risk of a late afternoon thunderstorm and a high in the mid-twenties.
With all the unseasonably hot temperatures we've had this week, suddenly Sunday's forecast high of 20C seem a little cool somehow. It will also be a cloudy day.
