Snow starts to fall in parts of Manitoba

With wind alerts in place for parts of Lake Manitoba and Lake Winnipeg, snow also started to fall Friday in parts of the province.

In Pointe Pointe du Bois in the northern Whiteshell, snow covered the ground Friday.

Other parts of the province are expected to see showers through the weekend.

The province previously released severe wind alerts for sections of Lake Winnipeg and Lake Manitoba, with wind gusts up to 85 km/h and high waves expected through Friday and the weekend.
