The Red River Exhibition is presenting a report on its plans to change and grow at the Assiniboia Community Committee Tuesday night.
The Red River Ex hopes to develop its 390-acre property bordering the rural municipality of Headingley over the next 10 to 30 years.
The Ex is looking at creating recreation, agriculture and shopping areas, as well as expanding the exhibition park itself.
A written report outlines five new concepts for the land including an exhibition and showcase area, a commodity campus or agricultural area, commercial and retail space, an exhibition annex and private parks and open recreation space.
Once the proposed plan for the Red River Exhibition has been heard at the community committee level, it still must pass through the Standing Policy Committee on Property and Development and the city’s Executive Policy Committee before City Council makes a final decision.
