Time-limit restrictions delayed for evening parking on downtown Winnipeg streets

Drivers in Winnipeg won't be restricted from parking on the street downtown in the evening for the first half of the Jets season.

A two-hour time limit was set to come into effect on Oct. 1.

But city staff said that won't give them enough time to put up signs.

The new measure won't come into force until January.

The Parking Authority wanted to charge for parking after 5:30 p.m. to create more turnover.
