Winnipeg police cadets assisted at more than a dozen intersections across the city Sunday where traffic lights were either out or flashing.

Cadets have been helping direct traffic at several of those intersections, including St. Mary's Raod and Marion Street, St. Anne’s Road and Bishop Grandin Boulevard, Kenaston Boulevard and McGillivray Boulevard, and Waverley Road and Wilkes Avenue.

Police said most drivers treated the intersections as four-way stops, but several intersections also had traffic flow issues.

Police said that was because some drivers were not following four-way stop procedures.
