Winnipeg Jet Zach Bogosian had successful surgery on his wrist Friday morning.

The surgery was to repair a ligament tear that had been bothering the defenceman for several years and kept him out of games in the 2011/2012 season.

The injury flared up during off-season workups earlier this year and prompted the surgery.

The surgery was performed in Cleveland by Dr. Thomas Graham.

Officials with the Winnipeg Jets said recovery time for the surgery is between four and six months.
