A Winnipeg man was killed in a motorcycle accident in North Dakota over the weekend.

Highway patrol officials said 42-year-old Michael Roberge was thrown from his bike just before 6 p.m. Saturday.

He was driving southbound on Interstate 29 when his 2009 Yamaha drifted into a ditch south of the Grafton exit.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash is under investigation.
